Chart in PDF format Serial number - 4610 I Most Potent p38 MAPK Inhibitor Dec 10. I will be stopping by to take another look at it and disassemble it soon, so I can post more detailed photos. An immaculate 1941 Code 42 produced during the change to byf code. I didn't have a lot of time to look it over so I cannot remember if the serial number on the front of the frame corresponded or if there was a letter for the block on the trigger guard. It's hard to see in the photos but the serial number on the barrel is 18503 as well. The bluing looks original as I can tell and does not look touched up around the numbers. ![]() It looks to me based on the placement of numbers on the receiver that the original number was 8503 and a 1 was stamped in front of the 8 afterwards. The only issue I have is that it has a five digit serial number, which I have never seen with this era of Mauser Lugers. It is in great overall condition and the visible numbers match. Description: SEE VERY RARE 41-42 CODE VARIATION LUGER CALIBER 9MM, ONLY 44 REPORTED. I only had a chance to take a quick look at it the other day and snapped a couple of photos that I attached. ![]() I'm a new Luger collector and have recently come across a BYF 42 version that someone I know who does not have interest in Lugers wants to sell.
